hiCONSTITUTION (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the website hiconstitution.com and the hiCONSTITUTION mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Who we are

hiCONSTITUTION is an educational platform for learning the Constitution of India. The service is operated from India. For privacy questions, contact us using the details at the end of this policy.

2. Information we collect

Account information (app users who register):

• Email address and password (stored securely via our authentication provider)
• Name, Indian state, and optional mobile number
• Referral code and in-app coins balance

App usage & content on your device:

• Bookmarks, personal notes, quiz progress, and study preferences stored locally on your device
• Exam countdown and similar settings you save in the app

Photos & camera (only when you use tools):

• If you use document scan, image resize, or PDF tools, you may grant camera or photo-library access. Images are processed on your device for those features; we do not use them for advertising.

Push notifications:

• If you allow notifications, we store a device push token to send study alerts and announcements you receive in the app.

Website visitors:

• Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, approximate time) for security and analytics
• Cookies or local storage only as needed for site functionality

3. How we use information

• Provide Constitution content, quizzes, study notes, and account features
• Authenticate you and sync your profile across app sessions
• Send in-app and push notifications about educational content (when enabled)
• Improve the app and website, fix errors, and deliver over-the-air (OTA) updates
• Comply with applicable law

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-party services

We use trusted providers to run the service, including:

• Supabase — secure database, authentication, and cloud storage for app accounts and CMS content
• Expo / EAS — app updates and crash-free delivery of JavaScript bundles (OTA updates)
• Google Play Services — app distribution and push delivery on Android
• Hosting (Hostinger) — website and API servers

These providers process data only to perform services on our behalf and under their own privacy terms.

5. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated profile data by contacting us or using our account deletion page. Local data on your device can be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.

6. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, authenticated APIs, and industry-standard practices through our cloud providers. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

hiCONSTITUTION is intended for students and general learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your rights

Depending on applicable law (including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, where relevant), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for optional processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app or website after changes means you accept the updated policy.
